Recently, the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection bases in Sichuan province was officially announced, with 10 including the Sichuan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center on the list.

Last year, seven departments jointly issued the Implementation Plan for the Construction of The Base for The Protection and Inheritance of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Sichuan Province (hereinafter referred to as the Plan).Based on intangible items, with emphasis on the traditional craft, the Plan requires to demonstratively drive and lead the intangible heritage protection and thus stimulate the legacy of innovation development of endogenous power and external energy, promote the heritage in real life, realize development,to showcase the enduring charm of China's traditional culture and the elegance of The Times.

The selected objects include enterprises, institutions and social organizations engaged in the protection, utilization, inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage in Sichuan. After the process of recommendation, expert review and field investigation,the first batch of 10 bases were decided to be Sichuan province non-material cultural heritage protection center, Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chengdu Jingxiuyuan Shu Embroidery Co., Ltd and Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd, China Village of Mianzhu New Year Pictures Scenic Area Management Committee, Zizhong Puppet Troupe of Sichuan Province, E’mei City Martial Arts Sports Center, Ya’an Tea Factory Co., Ltd., Anyue County Cultural Center, Dege Zongsa Tibetan Medicine Co.
